I have always thought that these photos were of my ggf's family. He was born in Golub, Prussia in about 1838. His wife was living in England when they met. These 2 photos have the same background, so I think they must have come from the same studio. One has the label "Cabinet Portrait". My ggp's immigrated to the US in 1858 and were never well off here. So I am impressed by the clothing of the people in these pictures. If you can give me some insight into where and when this photo might have been taken, I would really appreciate it!
