I am searching for any info anybody might have on the men who answered only to the Governor of New York State from 1885 to 1917. You will not find these men any where in New York State history.The state has done all it can to hide the fact these men actually existed for over a hundred years now.My Great Grandfather Leonard Burdette Parish was one of these men. About 1903 a little four year old girl was kidnapped in Syracuse N.Y. My G Grandfather tracked him to Cross Lake NY where he found him and killed the old pervert on a hill next to the old Cross Lake Hotel and managed to save the girl.This is just a sample of what these men where faced with. But the State will not include these men in the history of NY State.
