    Hi Debra, I am a professional researcher who happened upon your site today, and I've found some information for you.

    I have in 1860 Federal Census, 23rd June 1860, Plymouth, Plymouth County, MA.

    Elizabeth P Clark age 38
    Elizabeth Clark age 20 seamstress
    Mercy A Clark age 17
    Mary J Clark age 15
    Abby Clark age 6
    Edward W Clark age 3
    Sarah A Clark age 1

    I didn't find where James & Mercy married - yet!
    1870 Census 19 July 1870 Plymouth, Plymouth County, MA
    Robert Torrance age 73
    James C Standish age 26 Works in shoe Manuf.
    Elizabeth C age 38
    Ida F Standish age 5/12 born Dec 1869

    1880 1 June 1880 Middleborough, Plymouth County, MA
    Standish, James C age 38 Shoe Shop
    Elizabeth C age 48
    Haskins, George H age 20 stepson Needle works
    Standish, Ida F age 10

    1910 Census Manhattan Borough Ward 16 E.D. #828 19 April 1910
    living at 168 West 17th Street

    Standish, James C age 67 widowed
    Bates, Ida F age 30 widowed - Operator at shirt factory

    1920 Census Manhattan Dist 13 E.D. #951
    living at 34 West 129th Street 6 January 1920

    McGaffin, George W age 59 Amer.Ref.Exp.Co
    Ida F age 50
    Ethel T age 30 daugh prev. marriage
    Standish, James C age 76

    by 1930 George W & Ida F. McGaffin were living alone in the Bronx. I didn't find James C or his daughter Ida F in the 1900 census - yet! Hope this helps....Debby
