First of all that's so wonderful that you have her now. Be sure to just talk to her a lot, let her know she is safe and loved and with time she will become more comfortable. She clearly really likes your husband. Her behavior sounds a lot like my red-lored amazon. I'm a fairly new parrot mom, but I've now had Max for 4 years and my new one, Demmie, only seven months, so I'm no expert. But, I talk to my birds a lot, let them know how much I love them and they are very happy, so I must be doing something right!! I'm sure some other people on this board will help better. But, just be sure to talk to her, you don't even need to touch her or pick her up if she's not allowing it at this time, but just talk to her, sit next to her cage, read to her, sing to her, talk to her, tell her you love her, that she's beautiful, that your aunt misses her very much, etc. They know and understand.
