Otherwise, if you buy an older parrot he/she may never bond with any neither you or your husband. Once a parrot has made a bond with someone, it is very difficult to break that bond. So if you buy a 12 month old parrot from somebody, you may have problems. --Previous Message--

Hi Cynthia, the african gray is the more cleverer parrot. But more expensive too. I think most parrots make a bond to one person but it doesnt neccesarily mean they will show aggression towards another person. I have a grey and she has made a bond with me, she just makes grouchy noises when my boyfriend handles her at the first chance she will get, she'll jump off him and on to me.
: Hello
:
: My husband and I are interested in
: one of the more intelligent, social
: parrots. My research indicates that
: the Amazon and African Grey both fit
: this description. The more important
: issue is whether or not either of
: these birds, or maybe another, could
: bond with both of us? Has anyone any
: information on this subject?
