Posted by Ole Thanks for your advice for my previous post on this board. As we hadnt got a local avian vet, I took Roxy upto a parrot shop that specialises in parrots. He checked her feathers out and told us that who ever and clipped her previously had done a bad job. As she was already clipped when we got her as a baby, we dont know who is responsible. Some of her feathers had splinted and so they'd started to irritate her. Unfortunately I have had to have her wings re-clipped to help solve the problem. I did want them to grow back. However, in this case, I have had to be cruel to be kind. I've been told they should grow back without too much damage and that I just need to give her plenty baths with warm water. I've also bought some conditioning powder for her. Thanks again for your advice anyway :)
