One recipe: Either he hates it, or love it :) Serve max once a week, and as "meal" that is only aviable for MAX 45 min, then removed. Regards Ole --Previous Message--

Hi Laura!
Actually I tried to order a recipe book for parrots. I think it was either from USA or UK, but it never arrived. Good to hear you really plan the meals, that is important. Of course you know AVACADO is highly TOXIC food, but I mention it anyway.
1 hardboiled egg with shell
+ some pellets, nuts etc or even carrots etc in a food processor until you get it all scuashed.

: Hello, I was wondering if anyone has
: any good recipes, meal plans, etc.
: for Amazons? I have a 3 1/2 yo
: female Panama Amazon, named Sydney.
: I adopted her about a year and a
: half and I am constantly on the look
: out for meal plans for her that I
: can make ahead (like on Sundays) for
: the rest of the week - I work full
: time and have someone feed her
: during the day. Any ideas, recipes,
: and/or advice is greatly
: appreciated! Thanks!

: Hi Laura,
: I have two amazons (a yellow nape
: and a red lored). What I do is I
: make some pasta, I add frozen
: vegetables and black beans and black
: eyed peas and cook it all (according
: to the directions, except the frozen
: veggies, those I just add to the
: pasta after it's cooked and drained)
: and then put it in ice cube trays
: and freeze it. It's easy to do in
: one batch and it lasts a week or
: two. They love it. I give them a
: frozen cube in the morning and it's
: a good portion. It's very easy to
: do. I also bought a recipe book.
: Amazons can get a Vitamin A
: deficiency too, so I make these
: sweet potato muffins. They are so
: easy to make and they last for a
: week. (If you want the recipe just
: let me know)
