Hi,
It is molting time in my house. It seems early, but have had somewhat of a false spring. Tiki seems very weird. When I try to pet him (he usually loves this) he freaks. I think the new feathers coming in are itchy or painful or something. Because if I touch were a new feather is starting to come in Tiki screams. He bows down and wants to be pet so I am getting mixed messages. Has anyone else had a bird that gets "touchy-screamy" when they are molting?
