Posted by Melinda What does he do...... Well most of the time he acts like she's not there. She'll make her way towards him and he will start pruning himself or turn his head away. A few times he's squacked at her and then she leaves his area. Twice he peaked at her and kind of chased her away, but not in a real mean agressive manner. My husband says he'll see them together, but as soon as they see him, the separate. Kind of like a teenager who was caught by their parents making out or someting. --Previous Message--

: : Hi
: what does he do when she gets close?
: --Previous Message--
: I have a female amazon parrot, and we
: heard that it would be better to find
: her a friend. 3 days ago we purchased
: a male that is right around her age,
: 2-4 years old. She is trying real
: hard (I mean real hard) to make
: friends with him, but he won't give
: her the time of day. We have two
: large cages, his/her's and have take
: the doors off and placed them
: together so they can have their own
: space yet be able to get to know one
: another. We heard they are social
: birds and should get along with each
: other so I am worried that he doesn't
: like her. Can any one give me feed
: back about this isue.
: Thanks for any feed back!
