I have a female amazon parrot, and we heard that it would be better to find her a friend. 3 days ago we purchased a male that is right around her age, 2-4 years old. She is trying real hard (I mean real hard) to make friends with him, but he won't give her the time of day. We have two large cages, his/her's and have take the doors off and placed them together so they can have their own space yet be able to get to know one another. We heard they are social birds and should get along with each other so I am worried that he doesn't like her. Can any one give me feed back about this isue.
