Posted by akemi my interest is finding a product that can be freehand painted on the face, be able to have the child walk away from the table, eat lunch, rub their finger over the design and still have it mostly in tact. waterproof is not mandatory (the waterproof design i saw, i am simply curious about the product). i use tattoo inks in my adult makeup applications; agreed, the alcohol is simply too drying (and sometimes stingy) on a childs skin. even if that was not an issue, cost of the tattoo inks i have used is prohibitive. thanx for the links!

yes ~ i do freehand designs on children with krylon aquacolor (maybe i already mentioned that?). the particular "water proof" design i am referring to is definately airbrushed. the design did not smear in the least (i rubbed my finger over it) and the child played in the water for a couple of hours & rubbed it with no smudges. 2 days later, i just saw the same child . . . the design has faded, but is still on her arm.
