I used Createx and sprayed it with polyurathane from a spray can...several coats. An Acrylic Lacquer like they used on cars (clear coat) would probably work too...it would be fairly permanant though so if they wanted to do something different down the road not sure how you'd take it off.. probably cheaper to buy a new face plate...lol
