I'm 45 years old and I've built my own private world. Unfortunately, in this world I have no friends and I'm finding it difficult to venture out. Going to work, the store or to the gym doesn't seem to be problem, it's venturing out during the weekends. I've convinced myself that I have my coworkers fooled but I can tell by their expressions that I'm only fooling myself. I forced myself to attend a college course hoping to make friends but after six weeks I found myself running for the car door, terrified to converse with others. What advice can you give me.
