Hi to everybody,
I was with ACE from January to June 2009. Incredible I was six months with ACE and I never camp before neither than I felt very confortable without big privacy within an international group of foreign, different people before. But to my own surprise ACE was a very impressive experience and "to my own surprise" has become to my most thinking words in this six months. The reasan is because I had big doubts about ACE before I joint. Now I am back in Germany for almost three months and I have not enough time to see my over 12,000 pictures...too much work and I have to apply for a job after I finished my studies this october. Therefore I wanted to ask can I work for ACE? ;-)
There are so many pretty awesome memories about ACE...repeatedly I am thinking about my rock experiences with Chris Baker and Chris Burling on Catalina Island...the storms on Catalina Island and my very fearfully condition during the stormy nights in tents on this almost lonely island...and I remember my experiences with Lamai in Grand Canyon North Rim and I played volleyball there despite the fact that I hated this sport before...and my wood fencing experiences with Jason...it was so satisfying to see the progress of the common work...and I was joiking that the holes which I digged would be my "baby"...There are no doubts anymore ACE was and is an experience for a lifetime and I have become - partely - from a coachhero to a desert hero...
Greetings from Germany to the whole ACE crew, all present, future and previous volunteers...
Peter
