Hi Albert Sleeping in the Airport is not a comfortable first night in the states... however be ware that most really cheap hotels/motels are situated in unfriendly areas...
If i was you id try to make it to flagstaff the first night ... even if it meant you would arrive really late.... last greyhound leasves phoenix at 23.00 and arrives at 2 in the morning.... still beats paying for a night in a cheap motel
