I just posted this to the Facebook group, but for the sake of tradition I thought I'd post it here too 
Hey all, I'm doing the combi program this summer, from June to September, and have a few questions. I suppose some are better suited for past summertime volunteers, but I'd love to hear feedback from anyone! Thanks!
1. How do the weather conditions vary from one site to the next? Will we see rain and snow and sun in AZ and CA during the summer?
2. Are there any stories about encounters (good or bad) with animals?
3. Does anyone have suggestions for making sure a person is in good enough shape? Should I be lifting weights and running frequently to prepare?
4. Clothing-wise, do people wear a lot of wool to keep warm and dry? Is there a good alternative for someone with a wool allergy?
5. Looking at sleeping pads, what's the best size to have in terms of carrying it around during projects? I've found a couple cheap, used ones online but I'm afraid that I might be buying something ridiculously bulky and annoying... I have pictures if someone would be willing to look at them and tell me if they look good or not.
6. What was your favorite project/best experience with ACE?
7. What was your least favorite project/worst experience with ACE?
