Hey Klinger,
ACE's strength can sometimes be it's weakness. The cultural mix is entertaining and educational, but it also calls for a bit of tact and understanding that something funny in one culture may be mortifying in another. I'm not sure I can envision a culture in which kicking over trash would be comical or well received, but plenty of jostling and joking is generally par for the course. Just to round out Rune's perspective: if anyone is ever caught rolling rocks towards other people they will be instantly fired from the program and will be taking a Greyhound bus home from their project site.
I'll be interested to see what pranks you would have in mind. Ironically, Rune played the best prank in the history of ACE when he announced on April 1 a couple years ago that we were starting ACE Scandinavia and that he would be the Director. The best bit was when he wrote that we would be working towards the preservation of polar bear habitat, which an absurd number of people belived and enthusiastically offered to sign up for. That was the ideal prank that didn't insult, involved the rolling of no dangerous objects, and wasn't culturally biased.
