Hi Andy i take it you are american??
Ill just go over everything from the top...
A volunteer has on average around 2 weeks off during each month, as most projects run a schedual of 8 on 6 off...
The food during the worktime is allways enough to not go hungry to bed.... especially if you are not too picky regarding what you eat... (you will come across bad chefs and burnt rice.... but its all part of the charm
Flagstaff has both large fry's, safeways, bashas and a wallmart
House kitchen is equipped to do good food just fine... whether its clean depends of the volunteers ... so thats up to you
Moneywise i think you have forgotten leasure time activities... i think that most volunteers find that their only really big spending post is going to bars, cinema and other kinds of entertainment ... you can really live for almost nothing in FLAG, but most people end up going out at least 2-3 times during a set of days off... which can cost a lot
hope its all usefull to me....
if you got further questions feel free to email me.... i stayed with ACE more than a year and a half.... and should be able to answer most Q's
Cheers Rune

PS i am awfully jealous of you
