A volunteer's budget

I'll be in Flagstaff June through August. Right now I'm looking at gas, tolls, and food to get out there; and groceries, and a little spending money while I'm there.

There are some unknowns, though. How many days off do volunteers get in a month on average? Is the food on work days enough to not go to sleep hungry? Is there a reasonably cheap grocery store nearby? Does the house have a decently equipped kitchen? And lastly, Is there anything I may be forgetting to consider?
