Roadtrips are not that expensive actually (as long as you're prepared to sleep in a tent/not very expensive hotels) and while you're staying in Flagstaff/Santa Cruz (depending where you're going), you won't need that much money at all.
I'm pretty sure you won't have any problems with your money
