I sent you an email with my number again. Give me a call when you get a second. As far as weight, how much would the vet like to see him gain? It's all about caloric intake v.s. output. If he is a super active pup, then he will need more calories. If he's a slouch, (and is usually obvious by the big gut) then you need to monitor his intake more. I feed Katana 2 cups per feeding, and feedings are 10 hours apart. She is roughly 25-27 pounds, and looks great. Now, it's recommended that puppies at this age eat 3 meals per day to avoid over-eating or gastrointestinal problems. I personally have never had this issue and have no need for it.
Also, keep in mind that puppies REQUIRE MORE CALORIES. Katana gets the same amount of food per day as my 90 pound male. Hope this helps.
