Dear Jerry, I was in a very bad accident in 1980, I was 30 years old. They told my family I would not make it 8 hours. Well I am now 52 years old. My left hand was severely cut and they said I would never use it, I now have full use of that hand. I was hospitalized for over 11 months. I also had internal injuries and head injuries. My memory was all messed up for a few years after that accident.
I made it and up until the moment I had the wreck I never had faced such an emotional, physical challenge in my life.
You have a fighting spirit or you would not be in your profession. Fight Jerry! Fight with all your might, it may be a long battle and there are going to be lows but that is when you need to look inward for that extra strength to fight. Look also for our Father in Heaven to provide you the strength and courage you will need in the future months ahead.
Best wishes for a complete recovery, know that all Nascar fans are with you in prayer and in spirit.
Looking to see you back on that track when the time is right.
