It's our first time here and we struggled a little bit in the first practice session. I was telling the guys that it's so much to take in for a Raybestos -more- -3- Raybestos Rookie Notes & Quotes Texas Motor Speedway Thursday, April 6, 2006 O'Reilly 300 Qualifying MORE GILLILAND Rookie driver to come to a place like this. You're trying to learn the track, you're trying to learn the car, and you're just trying to learn everything. It's tough but everybody has stuck behind us. This is a tribute to our team and how good and focused everybody is. I hope this is just a sign of things to come for us in the future. I feel really good about our team." HOW OLD IS THIS TEAM? "Two months old. Billy Wilburn, my crew chief, is awesome. He has more faith in me that I do sometimes and I need that. It's great I can't say enough about the team. We're building our own motors. Everybody said we can't do it. We know it's tough but we're going to give it our all. From our first race at California Speedway we had a car good enough to make it and we didn't. We spun out but we learned as a team where we needed to be in qualifying. I'm just real excited." WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD DAY FOR YOU ON SATURDAY? "Finish on the lead lap. We had a really good run going in Vegas. In California we spun out in qualifying; we were too free. Vegas was our second race and we tightened it up too much. It was too tight. We had a great run in Vegas. We had some pit problems that kind of hurt us but I think we opened a lot of eyes there. Hopefully we can continue to do it." HOW BIG IS THIS RUN FOR YOUR TEAM? "It's awesome. We're caught up now, per se. We've been working 20 hours a day everyday, myself included. We had only three cars when we started and now they're all complete and that didn't happen until Tuesday at about six o'clock in the afternoon and that was our backup car that went into the hauler. We went to California Speedway with one car. We didn't even have a backup. Vegas we had a backup car but no backup motor. Now we have two complete cars. I feel like our team is going to continue to progress and get better. Hopefully we can do that."
