Oh I think there's a lot to do, though the main business of nature takes care of itself. We merely fill in the gaps. The quest for enlightenment is nature's way of keeping us occupied and entertained, and from jumping off cliffs. The latter being the suppression of a voice, and nature hates the suppression of a voice. Any voice.
Ants are among the most successful species on Earth, and they could not care less about "enlightenment."
I wonder what they know that we don't.
