I didn't mean to make light of your preference for light. It's just that in the last year my perspective has altered dramatically. I go about my day in a sense of constant wonder. Talking with Loved One about childhood or WWII (part of my childhood) or books, history, anything at all, I get this nearly electric buzz of wonder that in a split second my mind pops the pertinent memory, an arcane bit of information, name, the phone numbers my friend of 65 yrs and I had when we were little! (Mine was 67422, hers was 67511.)
I watch a small cut heal, amazed at the process that does that, without my needing to fuss it into happening. I seem in a constant state of amazement. Knowing that beyond what I see & experience a vastly more complex world is going on unseen.
And last night felt, viscerally, simply a part of all process, the woods I looked out on, the rain, the dark sky. I was simply in it/of it, and the visible, the discernible, but is a tiny, minute tip of the iceberg.
It seems Enough just to be.
