: Actually, I am not an Advaitist. Nor am I a
: Dvaitist for both are merely relative
: concepts. The true nondualist has taken a
: perspective that includes but subsumes both
: advaita and dvaita. But even the word
: nondualist is at the end of the day just
: another way of pointing to that which is
: beyond words. It is just that some words are
: closer to the curve in the road. Some words
: are more relative to the absolute than
: others. Especially when they are placed
: within the appropriate context.
:
: "Purist" Advaita is a fixation on
: the whole as if it can be quantified. One.
: Numerically. Such a fixation is at the root
: of much of our number one fallacy. The Myth
: of One. Such thinking is fundamentally
: egoistic. Solipsistic. Self-centered. A type
: of thinking that leads to all manner of
: perversions where the nature of existence is
: concerned. Such is the path of Maya.
:
: Where the whole is concerned it is better to
: say it is like a unitive one than is one.
: "One" leads to all sorts of
: distortions of reality.
:
: One is the loneliest number that you will
: ever do
: Two can be as bad as one
: It's the loneliest number since the number
: one
:
: Paradoxically, if not ironically, the number
: one divides what is by nature whole. It cuts
: off that part of existence that gives it its
: dynamism. The whole is greater than the sum
: of its parts. Greater than One. But less
: than Two. Undivided. Nondual. Whole.
: Synergetic.
:
: But you don't want anymore a'stinkin'
: concepts. You want the real deal. You want
: it your way. What do you think Tao Speaks
: is, Burger King?
:
: I kid. All I can tell you rat is you won't
: find it out there anywhere. It is a journey
: to the interior. Be gentle on yourself. I
: know you can do it. Entertain the soft and
: the hard will loosen its grip.

: Its no problem Butcho, like I said, we each
: think that the other one thinks the way they
: do for psychological reasons. Nothing wrong
: with that.

: rat,
:
: In psychological terms my approach is
: qualitative, measured through direct
: experience.
:
: Yours seems to be more a quantitative
: approach. Statistical.
:
: Different strokes for different folks.

: ButchO
:
:
: Oh I have no doubt of the plausibility of
: your approach being qualitatively better
: than mine Butcho. Your overall score also
: might be higher than mine. I am certain of
: almost nothing. I only have suspicions. I
: gladly share these with you.

rat,
It does my heart good to hear that you will no longer take it personal if I am suspicious of your suspicions.
As long as I am not suspicious of you that is.
I was not suggesting that you are a pedophile. What I was trying to get you to see is that a pedophile might use the same exact words you used when you said that you don't have any fundamental restrictions. That your only interest is in enjoying yourself.
Mightn't that be exactly what a pedophile is doing, is saying, at least to himself. Or potentially anyone else that has suppressed a natural desire only to have an unnatural desire come to the fore.
Do you not see this? Or am I just full of shit? If I am a savant in somethings as you suggest, then I am probably an idiot in others as you imply. If I seem paranoid it is because there are people watching me. Help me out here. Help me to understand how it is that your words I have questioned are not licentious.
You have not offered a retraction. You have not restated your position. All you have done is become indignant and in your way make personal attacks against me. I have tried to make excuses for you with little to show for it. I have tried to lighten up the conversation only to have you bob and weave your way away from the topic at hand.
In your opinion, do our words matter? Do our actions matter? Does anything matter?
