: Nina,
:
: I quite disagree with you here. Not that you
: give a crap.
:
: We are, humans, part of Nature. I care. I
: care about my family, friends, and, even
: about you. You may call me a village idiot
: if you like. Whatever makes you feel good.
: But to say Nature doesn't care is simply not
: true in my experience.
:
: I do not find the Universe a distant place.
: I find it everywhere I am. Nature is as much
: in me as I am in it. It is all about
: relationship. How could a place that is all
: about relationship, interconnected from
: microcosm to macrocosm, not care?
:
: You and rat have got a bad case of the stiff
: upper lipitis. But don't worry. There is a
: cure.

: You're talking about Human Nature. I was
: referring to Nature. Do you think a tree
: grows leaves to shelter you from the sun?
: Does a cow grow big and fat to feed you?
:
: Sure, we all want the best for those we
: love. But what if they do something we
: don't think is in their best interests? Or
: maybe it's not in our own best interests?

Greetings Nina,
It seems to me nature dosen't have a conscience. If nature did, then it would be a thing. Perhaps nature, like Dao, is more than a thing?
Gar's perception is that nature is benevolent in that gar has the ability to behold it.
in peace,
gar
