Maybe the chickens that liked Mozart & Bach were city chickens, kept in coops. Ours are country chickens, free-range, are only closed in for their safety (foxes, raccoons, bobcats) at night. Different cultures, different tastes?
It's amazing to watch one in the woods feel an egg coming on scuttle back to the coop to lay it neatly in the roosting nest.
