: josef,
:
: Have you read about the Zero Point Field?
: ZPF has been likened to the Force in Star
: Wars. To Chi in Taoism. An energy field that
: gives structure to existence. In Biological
: terms, aspects of this Field are called
: Morphogenetic Fields. That is all living
: things have fields that determine their
: structure. A cell knows whether it is to be
: an eye or a foot through its interaction
: with its parent morphogenetic field. A tree
: becomes a tree. A man becomes a man. As
: least as much because of it field as its
: DNA.
:
: Much of Quantum Physics ties in with the
: thinking in Taoism. imo. Everything is a
: form of energy. Everything is
: interconnected. There is more to Reality
: than meets the eye.
:
: I would go so far as to say that Quantum
: Physics can be likened to Scientific Taoism.
:
: Although some of those jumping on the ZPF
: bandwagon may be a little more New Agey than
: I might prefer I still think there is much
: to the concept of the Zero Point Field. Just
: because something flies in the face of
: classical convention doesn't mean it can't
: fly.
:
: Check it out.

Butcho, yes. My brilliant older son, who actually understands quantum physics, and I share via email our interest in developing research and findings, cosmic events (like the very recent black hole devouring a huge star, with the 'entrance' to the black hole facing toward earth, so the astonishing blast of light was clearly seen here). We follow the work at CERN in Geneva, etc.
ZPF. I agree with you about passing on the New Agey slant on it, but following the pure science I have a steady interior yes, yes, yes happening, recognition, delight. Daguan! Magnificent process, communication, relationship taking place without cease always *between*, inclusive, nothing independent. Energy (yes, chi) exchange from macro to micro-micro to unbelievably micro, quark and beyond, always interconnected, incredibly vast. immediate, intimate reality. Our little personal importances like moods, hurt feelings, traumas and dramas loose significance. Despite our distraction we are never apart from the process. You like to quote "No man is an island". How clear that is!
Quantum physicists have long been sounding more and more like mystics, (Einstein remarked on it often), in complete harmony with Taoism in particular. And now ZPF, refining, expanding, stretching our understanding to stunned silence and Wonder, and a sense of total inclusion, participation in ways still unknown.
My walks in the woods, considering even plant cells communicating in unknown ways...well, once again thought is too puny, wonder is a better companion.
Namaste,
josef
