Have you read about the Zero Point Field? ZPF has been likened to the Force in Star Wars. To Chi in Taoism. An energy field that gives structure to existence. In Biological terms, aspects of this Field are called Morphogenetic Fields. That is all living things have fields that determine their structure. A cell knows whether it is to be an eye or a foot through its interaction with its parent morphogenetic field. A tree becomes a tree. A man becomes a man. As least as much because of it field as its DNA.
Much of Quantum Physics ties in with the thinking in Taoism. imo. Everything is a form of energy. Everything is interconnected. There is more to Reality than meets the eye.
I would go so far as to say that Quantum Physics can be likened to Scientific Taoism.
Although some of those jumping on the ZPF bandwagon may be a little more New Agey than I might prefer I still think there is much to the concept of the Zero Point Field. Just because something flies in the face of classical convention doesn't mean it can't fly.
