: There is an excellent section in the
: Zhuangzi on this topic. Jo of the North Sea
: says that you can't do any net material
: good, for every time you help one, you take
: away from another, rob Peter to pay Paul.

: What Jo says here upsets the Lord of the

i like the answer beihai ruo is giving:
(from chin. text project- http://ctext.org/zhuangzi/outer-chapters
Legge's translation)
běi hǎi ruò yuē
Ruo of the Northern Sea replied,
“知道者必達於理,
zhī dao zhě bì dáyú lǐ
'He who knows the Dao is sure to be well acquainted with the principles
dá yú lǐ zhě bì míng yú quán
Acquainted with (those) principles, he is sure to understand how to regulate his conduct in all varying circumstances.
míng yú quán zhě bù yǐ wù hài jǐ
Having that understanding, he will not allow things to injure himself.

i think this expresses:
having the ability to go in line with ziran - in line with dao - in line with yi yin yi yang - gives you more chance to came along than following a fixed codex ...
