: thanks, i needed this!
:
: I still remember what Father Jack said years
: and years and years ago! for homily about
: sin:
:
: the term is from archery. it just means
: 'missing the mark' (having poor aim).
: doesn't really say anything about our
: ethical or moral worth as a human
: being...just that we need to improve our aim
: the next time we practice. or pick a better
: day to practice (the wind will blow any
: arrow off the mark...or if we're lucky, on
: the mark!)
You can not be worthy as a marksman if you continually miss the mark.
You can not be morally worthy if you continually do the wrong thing.
"Self", Self-ish Righteousness is the source of sin.
Selfish Righteousness being the major trait of a Know-It-All, Omniscience, being God Like, the over indulgence of the Ego, of Self.
The problem with Self Righteousness is that Might is Right, you must contend; fight the battle for the survival of the Most Fit in order to do as you will.
Moral Law is an Abomination, has failed to do as promised, fails to bring the Chaos born of the Flesh to Order.
Mortal Man, Man born of the dust of the ground, Animal Man, was bound for extinction at the moment of birth.
Man's only hope for Salvation, is to become more than a mere animal so as not to fight the battle for the survival of the most fit.
Ninety-Nine percent of every creature that has ever existed is now extinct.
Why?
Competition for survial within the species.
Behold a White Horse, and he that sat on him had a bow and crown was given unto him and he went forth conquering and to conquer.
