I think the first 2 lines of DDJ 43 show quite clearly what the "it/this" is:
1- The most flexible things in the world can run swiftly past the most rigid things in the world,
2- Without having to penetrate what has no openings.
3- From this we can understand the benefits of non-interference.
4- This wordless teaching filled with the advantages of non-interference.
5- Few in the world have the ability to grasp it.

: In ddj 43 Laozi states:
: 吾是以知無為之有益
: it is therefore - i know - that wuwei is
: working and has its benefits...
: What do you think refers this "it is
: therefore" to?
: The lines before ---- refer to such a
: "it" as well"...
: It can only be something laozi is
: elaborating in ddj 42...
: i think it is the fundamental insight of
: line 1-6
:
: 道生一
: 一生二
: 二生三
: 三生萬物
:
: 萬物負陰而抱陽
: 沖氣以為和
:
: i thinks it is the insight that our world is
: a network, building a one - where all parts
: are dependant on each other and are
: influencing each other - and - though there
: can be seen chaotic phenomena... there is a
: tendency to harmony.... - this tendancy is
: what wuwei makes possible...
: this tendency is the phenomenon Laozi is
: refering to in ddj 43...
: ---
: ddj42:
: 沖氣以為和
: the centering flow of qi enables harmony...
