Sure, Gar. I love words....... and some people's words definitely add to my happiness. Even the words I don't like can give me a smile occasionally. You too?
I think Mu (and I) are talking about quoting words from texts of people we never even met. I've gotten lots of happiness from my translations/interpretations of The Laozi. It made me feel like I wasn't the only person in the world who felt the way I do. Then other people tell me that's not at all what The Laozi is saying..... and they set forth their various ways of translating/interpreting it.
That's why it's a little erroneous to say something like:
"This is what The Laozi is saying."
Then use that to try to prove others are wrong.
Do you get my drift?
