in daodejing #36 a very interesting term can be found: wei1 ming2 Wing-Tsit Chan translates as "subtle light" Wang translates as "twilight insight" -- there are always pairs ... both have there function... and this mediates the light.... --- breathing in --- exists --- if there is a breathing out... --- soft --- firm... combining--- --- power of life..happens.
