The essay is an excellent example of what can happen when we come to 'own' our individual practices, whatever they be. As in all matters pertaining to ownership, it's easy to become ferociously possessive of one's merchandise.
I'm guilty of it too. I know I should shut up and simply go about the business of being human in the world--which is, by birth, what I was hired to do.
But to be content with not speaking is a grace that hasn't yet been granted to me by Butcho's divine Creator.
Only time will tell if I win that particular lottery. ;)
