Lian Dao,

It does not concern me that you are a curmudgeon. It is simply a description of your persona. That it concerns you that it might be a concern of mine is just more evidence that you are in fact a curmudgeon.

There are universal truths, and then there are individual truths.

Lian Dao is a curmudgeon. Universal truth. Lian Dao is a curmudgeon. Individual or relative truth.

That was pretty clever about the special forces thing and being ready to spring me from my captivity. Only trouble is no one can spring us but ourselves. All we can do for each other is point the best we know how.

And I think that may very well be what you are doing in your way, and Steve is in his, and josef is in hers, and rat is...nah, and Nina is in hers, and wu... ren ying is in his, and gar, and wayne, and others that stop by Tao Speaks from time to eternity. All pointing at the moon.
