'Sensible' is what works for the decider. For us, it's sensible to avoid sharks. For sharks, it's sensible to tear us to shreds. It's as reasonable for us to avoid sharks as it is for them to eat us.
The rules of the game are fixed--the outcome, assured. There's nothing fundamental that you or I need do.
