: Does that make you feel better?
:
:
:
: Oops....... I just read Butcho's response
: on God. He might get onto my list for that.
:
:
: I know I am being repetitive Nina, but you
: really should put me at number one since I
: have the greatest humility here.

:
: Just start talking about the possibility of
: there being a God and you will immediately
: be put on the "Shit List".
:
: No brag, just fact.
:
: Start a post about "God" and I
: promise not to leave you hanging for more
: than a day or two.
:
: It is my opinion that most here started out
: believing in a God. But that most have
: fallen away from such a belief, not because
: of proof that there is no God, but because a
: "so-called" Christian(s) hurt them
: at some time in the past.
:
: I am suggesting that maybe we have thrown
: the baby out with the dishwater. If we have
: wouldn't it be tragic if we let the baby
: die?
:
: I have been accused of being a "Latent
: Christian" here before. Perhaps I am. I
: know I have been thinking a lot about it
: lately. Today there is more scientific
: evidence than at any time in history that
: our Universe had a beginning. The Big Bang.
: The Eastern concept of the Universe is that
: it is eternal. If not as a one time event,
: as an oscillating one. Reincarnation if you
: will. But modern Science has ruled out an
: oscillating Universe. Not enough energy or
: mass. Our Universe is a one time event that
: had a beginning, and will have an end.
: Unless something "Super" natural
: steps in and changes the natural course of
: events. The longest lasting stars burn for
: about 80 Billion years. 80 Billion years
: might be a long time in dog years, but
: compared to Eternity it is a blink.
:
: I am finding it harder and harder to believe
: that it just happened. That there was or is
: not some kind of a Creator that existed
: before our Universe did. I see design
: everywhere I look. What to me amounts to
: nothing less than the fingerprints of the
: Tao on everything, the fingerprints of the
: Creator, of God if you will.

I'm sorry, Butch. Interesting...... why would you consider being included in my list being on a shit list?
Some other thoughts.......
Just because you look around you and see how wonderfully everything works together, why would that insinuate the existence of a God or Creator who made it happen that way?
Simple evolution decides which things will continue to exist and which will perish. Mourn the losses or praise the existent? Doesn't make a hill of beans, does it? You are where you are, and everything else is where it is.
But then...... If believing something or someone has a Master Plan makes you live a happier life............. Smiles to you!
