No. The Bush reign of terror was essential. Just as the occasional spanking of a toddler's ass (note the correct spelling) is essential.
We (actually, the partisan Supreme Court that selected him) gave the world 8 years of Bush horror, and now we have a leader who purports to be the Anti-Bush. We'll see.
After 4 or 8 years of Obama, we'll climb a bit higher up the greased pole of history by electing someone who will promise to clean up the mess left by Obama. And so it goes. Forever and ever. World without end.
Essentially, it's the way civilization works.
