: Greetings rat,
:
: Do you think it's possible to experience
: objective enlightenment?
:
: There seems to be some scientific evidence
: that shows cause and effect in how our
: brains change it's processing when
: experienceing reality with a objective mind
: set.
:
: My own story; Every morning when i sat
: quietly on the beach, perhaps in meditation,
: my brain slowly changed it's way of
: processing information.
:
: By using machines, an isolation tank, and
: meditation, i seem to have achieved
: regulating brainwave activity through
: 'entrainment'.
:
: It seems to me, when our brain frequency is
: in the Alpha 8-13 Hz, and in the Theta 4-8
: Hz range, our perception of reality is
: different than normal waking state.
:
: Maybe this different perception of reality
: is what is known as 'objective
: enlightenment'??
:
: in peace,
: gar
:
I don't know gar. Perhaps they are saying it is "objective evidence based enlightenment." I think that can be useful.
But I think there is also a disadvantage in being able to say, "Look at this EEG, I am really doing something!"
I think mediation can increase a person's sense of well-being. And it can also make some folks depressed and even suicidal. I am willing to take that risk for myself.
love,
rat
