-- I suppose. Where else do desires come from? In my experience, all human beings desire to be happy and/or free from suffering. Many are unsuccessful (when you look at things over a long period of time).

-- Agreed. Of course, if "perfect harmony" = the "status quo," then one may still desire to make a change, to go down a different path, and possibly to invite others to do the same.
