Schwarzenegger is among the last of a dying breed--a moderate Republican. Conservative on fiscal matters and moderate on social issues. Very few of them left. The theo-fascists have seen to that.
Nina has given a good summary of Proposition 8, which was just the latest effort by the theo-fascists to make the country over in their image. With Barack Obama's election they won't have quite the seat at the table that they've had for the past 8 years, and that's good news indeed.
More good news for those who believe in equality and civil rights: the demographics are not on the side of the intolerant. Exit polls showed that the vast majority of those who voted for Proposition 8 were over age 65, and that the vast majority of those who voted against were under 40.
Look ahead into the coming decades, and do the math.
