I missed one significant point in your post.
Yang is not the day itself, Yang Rules the Day, is White, the First, the Primary, Light unto Man's World of Reality, Reality as sensed in the Light of Day, Yang is Man’s First level
of Consciousness..
Yin is not the Night itself, Yin, Rules the Night, the Dark, is the Second Great Light,
Man’s Second Level of Consciousness.
