: "There will be time, there will be time
: To prepare a face to meet the faces that you
: meet;
You know you've travelled when your own face will face any and all.
: There will be time to murder and create,
: And time for all the works and days of hands
: That lift and drop a question on your plate;
When you "know" that all is equal or equals out, the question is, "what remains"?
: Time for you and time for me,
Yes.
: And time yet for a hundred indecisions,
: And for a hundred visions and revisions,
: Before the taking of a toast and tea.
Yes.
: In the room the women come and go
: Talking of Michelangelo.
In the end, their faces only, separate them. And among all men for a woman. A companion, neither Michaelangelo nor Mae West, is all.
: And indeed there will be time
: To wonder, "Do I dare?" and,
: "Do I dare?
: "Time to turn back and descend the
: stair,
: With a bald spot in the middle of my hair--
: [They will say: "How his hair is
: growing thin!"]
And the buttocks of either sex sag...
: My morning coat, my collar mounting firmly
: to the chin,
: My necktie rich and modest, but asserted by
: a simple pin--
: [They will say: "But how his arms and
: legs are thin!"]
: Do I dare
: Disturb the universe?"
Do I dare not?
Could I, even if I tried?
Yet the universe places me here.
If I do not extend into my place,
where, if anywhere, is my place?
Dead or alive?
I have my biological place that transcends even the highest or subtlest metaphysics. My path is to reconcile the rest of it, with my past daring.
And in so doing, I continue to dare.
Such is life.
Choose death if you will. Only life gives options.
