: Again to utilise loop-language, we either owe
: the world or the world owes us.
: Fundamentally we appear to have a choice.
: Subjectively we are free to choose. Or not
: to choose. Or even choose another choice.
: The Dao as skillful means draws our
: attention away from the loop. And as we all
: know the loop is a closed circuit whereas
: the Dao is basically and utterly open.

I don't know if we are close or not on that criterion Lian Dao. I find that the skillful means greatly help me (me = rat = a nexus of perception/experience) enjoy life despite not being able to escape the loop.
I suspect some folks want more out of skillful means. For instance, a solution for the existential quandry of the human animal.
I'll be happy to stay in the minor leagues. Laozi: "Realize you already have enough to be content." i e, we may not need a perfect solution to be happy.
love,
