An acorn is a seed that contains the potential of becoming a great Oak. And so it is with man.
We are a microcosm of the macrocosm. All distinctions, all stages, are provisional. We are a part of that which has no parts. The acorn is not separate from the Oak, nor are we separate from the Tao.
Enlightenment is eternal. It is neither sudden nor gradual. We were never born and we will never die.
