: Greetings All,
:
: Today, I heard the saying, "same but
: different". When i first heard these
: words, oh so many years ago, it reminded me
: of the days when i could just see the
: difference, or the commonality of things.
: So, when i ask myself, gar, what is
: enlightenment i think back to the time when,
: 'this and that dissolved into a state where
: duality is lost.
:
: Reality now appeares to me through three
: eyes, one eye fo this, another eye for that,
: and a third eye for neither, this or that.
:
: in peace,

gar - hi (-:
your post made me smile, recalling a similar description of how this seems.
for me - one eye does the commonality and differences of the (dual) this or that - while the other eye does the (non-dual) both-neither of the this or that.
I recall many discussions of whether it was necessary to close the dual-eye to see through the non-dual eye, like in meditation.
I think it's possible to see using both eyes at the same time - a blended perspective. Your post, of the three eyes, seems to agree with the idea of a blended perspective. Same, but different.
warm regards,
rene
