i think i was having the same problem. what i figured out was the settings between ZDlaunch and Zdoom were conflicting. first thing i did was trash the ZDlaunch prefs. it ran fine after that. certain things from launch work fine like screen size and which wads, but options like mouse freelook don't seem to carry over.
so things like that have to be set up in zdoom itself. i just set up all my options i wanted in zdoom and it seemed to launch fine. just remember NOT to save settings cause it weill re-create the prefs file.
