Winona (the town)

I was driving from New Orleans to Memphis 3 yrs ago.I got off the interstate and spent a night in Winona(double entendre not intended).Is this the town she was named after or are there other "Winona" towns in America?.I wouldn't know because I'm Irish.All I know is, it was off Route 10. I'd be nice if it was because I'm a big fan of her's. Best of luck to her when she goes to court
